![]() Overall, Shining Fates seems primed to be as beloved a set as Hidden Fates. The set includes Amazing Rares of Kyogre, Reshiram, and Yveltal, and man, I hope this isn't the last we've seen of these incredible cards. I didn't personally pull any Rainbow Rares as of yet, but I'll be going back for more in no time. ![]() Like the Shiny Vault cards, these too can replace the reverse holo. These rainbow, paint-splashed cards were introduced in Vivid Voltage and continue to have a presence in this set. One feature of Shining Fates, though, that is unlike Hidden Fates is the presence of Amazing Rare cards. ![]() There were multiple packs where I was able to pull two Full Art cards back-to-back in one pack, which makes these openings rather special. They are placed in the spot where the reverse holo is normally placed, another trait Shining Fates and Hidden Fates share, which means that a pack can contain both an incredible Shiny Vault card and a rare pull. What makes these pulls especially exciting is the placement of the Shiny Vault subset cards. I'll cover the specifics of the Bolton V Tin, Pikachu V Box, and Mad Party Box in dedicated reviews, but here is a run-down of my major pulls from these packs. Of course, everyone's mileage may vary, but I had terrific pulls from my Elite Trainer Box and other products. This makes for a fun pack opening experience in multiple ways, because the design of some of the later-introduced Shinies is still new to me and also because pulling a classic Pokémon such as Ditto, Lapras, or Charizard in their Shiny form is a bit rarer due to how few of the O.G.s are in the set. It's very much a "Hidden Fates for the now," in that its predecessor focused mostly on Shiny Pokémon from early generations while Shining Fates focuses largely on newer Pokémon. Shining Fates, in my experience so far, is an improvement over Champion's Path and is on par with Hidden Fates. We're here to talk about the actual packs here. There are perks for collectors, too, as the box comes with sleeves and dividers, but we'll get into that below. Shining Fates Elite Trainer Boxes come with ten packs in addition to items that help those who play the TCG, including damage markers, dice, and more. To me, it doesn't get much better than this card. I know there are Charizard lovers who may have an issue with this, but hey - I'm all in when it comes to cute Pokémon, and the promo card is Eevee VMAX, which features Eevee in its hilariously large Gigantamax form. The Shining Fates Elite Trainer Box has my favorite promo yet. These have historically been some of the most beloved promo cards in the game, with Hidden Fates offering the incredible stained glass window Tag Team card featuring the Legendary Birds of Kanto and Champion's Path featuring Charizard V. One of the major perks of "special sets" (or, "holiday sets" as some call them) like these in contrast to regular expansions is that the special Elite Trainer Boxes come with a promo card in addition to the normal content. ![]()

![]() Think about why you want to do this trip. Here are the ways of how you can set things up for your road trip. True, it surely will take some time but it will be worth it. I hope this packing list makes your next trip a little bit easier! If you have any feedback about how I can make the checklist more useful for you, please let me know.Setting up things before you start going on that trip can be quite challenging and may give the impression that it will take a bit of time. Our bags have been on many trips with us, and are still in great shape. My husband and I could each carry a carseat on our backs, which made navigating the airport possible. It would have been almost impossible for us to travel without them. On our last trip, we had three full size car seats, each packed in one of these bags (we were quite the sight to see at the airport, I’m sure!). If you’re travelling by plane and bringing a car seat, I cannot recommend this car seat bag enough. I also throw in a travel baby carrier, just in case I need to secure two children at the same time. When we travel by plane, we always leave our big double stroller at home and take our umbrella stroller or, when we’ve had an infant still in a bucket seat, our Snap N Go. Your needs will depend on your child(ren), and the type of trip you’re going on. Although you can usually purchase it at your destination, it’s more difficult to do so in the middle of the night, which always seems to be when you need it! If our accommodation has laundry, we’ll bring a small container of laundry detergent, just in case it isn’t provided. In addition to the obvious items, we always bring a thermometer and ibuprofen/acetaminophen when we travel with our kids. The key is to get them used to it at home. It packs up small, so it’s easy to travel with, and it provides a safe and familiar spot for them to sleep while travelling. ![]() We’ve had great luck with the KidCo Peapod travel bed, once our children are older than one. There was a period of time where we brought our daughter’s swing on every road trip, because it was the only guaranteed way to get her to nap! You know your child best – bring what you can to replicate your child’s sleeping conditions at home. It’s usually much more cost-effective than buying a small package of diapers at our destination. We always pack diapers if we have room, unless it’s a really long trip. Related: How to Survive a Road Trip with Kids: Snacks Diapering Snacking kids are happy kids, so we relax all rules about snacking when travelling and pack more than we think we need. I highly recommend packing snacks, snacks, and more snacks. ![]() We always bring sippy cups or water bottles for each child, so they can easily be filled up on the go, instead of having to purchase bottled water. It’s particularly great for restaurants (especially with a baby who would otherwise be eating right off the table!). We recently purchased this for my daughter and it was wonderful for our last trip. ![]() However, for little ones I like to bring some dishes and cutlery if we have room, just in case we end up in a place with only breakable dishes. My big kids are old enough that we can get away with using whatever dishes they have at our destination. We always bring at least 2 pairs of PJs, 2 sleepsacks, and 2 Pack ‘n Play sheets, just in case we have a middle of the night disaster. We usually stay at places with laundry, so unless we have a special event I pack enough clothing for each day of our trip +1. Related: How to Survive a Road Trip with Kids: Organization Baby and Toddler Packing ListĬlick here for the printable checklist. If I missed something that’s a necessity for you, please let me know! My goal is to make this as useful and useable as possible. I left blank spots for you to fill in extra items that you need for your little one. Hopefully the extra spots I’ve included give you enough room to fill in the items you need. My kids never took a bottle well, so I didn’t include bottle feeding supplies, as I would be guessing as to what’s necessary. I tried to err on the side of a more comprehensive list. You’ll need different things when travelling via car versus plane and when staying in a hotel versus a stocked AirBnB. Every kid is different, every family is different, and every trip is different. This is a consolidation of packing lists I’ve been using for our kids from ages 6 weeks to 5 years. One of the crew members who came to fix the leak told the owner that a big shipment of solar tiles was stuck at the LA port, but this couldn’t be confirmed. In fact, the roof has already leaked on two occasions, and Tesla had to come and fix it. When contacting his Tesla Roof advisor, which wasn’t an easy task, he was told of the solar tile shortage and warned that his installation might not happen before the end of the year – way past the waterproof period of the dry-in. Now in March, more than eight weeks after the removal of the roof, there’s still no solar tile installation in sight, and Prijic is understandably starting to worry. The supply issue is leaving some customers in precarious situations.įor example, Ryan Prijic, a Tesla solar roof customer in the Los Angeles area, had Tesla start his solar roof installation in January by removing his existing roof and build the “dry-in” – a waterproof state of the roof with protective film that goes over the plywood before installing the actual roofing material, which in this case are solar tiles.Īt the time, Prijic was told that the solar tile installation would happen within the next eight weeks and that the dry-in’s waterproof capacity would last for about six months so it wouldn’t be a problem. In the communication, the team committed to not schedule new installations. Now a month later, the situation has worsened and Tesla has virtually paused solar roof installations.Įlectrek obtained an internal communication from Tesla’s solar scheduling team saying to focus on solar panel rooftop retrofits as solar tile supply is low. At the time, Tesla’s solar roof installations weren’t affected by the same issues, but things changed in February when Tesla started to have concerns about solar tile supply.Īt the time, Tesla informed customers who were about to get installations about potential delays. In December, we released a report on how Tesla was starting to delay some solar rooftop projects. Its solar business also grew over the last year, but it also started to be affected by supply chain issues late last year when we reported on early signs that supply chain issues are affecting Tesla’s solar panel business. When it comes to its auto business, Tesla was not without supply chain challenges, but it has fared a lot better than its peers and managed to double its production last year. Supply chain issues are affecting virtually every industry in the world at this point. Now some clients will be left without a roof for months.
